Promotion of wellbeing at work may be very challenging in developing organisations. Instead of separate wellbeing measures,
it should always be a natural part of the everyday work. Wellbeing at work requires commitment to joint objectives, which in practice
is possible only if all employees feel that they are valuable parts of a well functioning service system. Therefore the ARVOKAS project
wants to increase interaction possibilities and distribute new know-how.
The project is implemented in Pirkanmaa Hospital District´s Health Care District of Ylä-Pirkanmaa Region considering cooperation
with the planned Ylä-Pirkanmaa municipal federation of basic services and enabling our students´ participation in the project development
groups. The project is implemented by applying the developing dialogue education model and the concept of occupational wellbeing market.
As a result of the ARVOKAS project
- Individual employees know their own role in the developing service system and feel themselves
as valuable parts of the functioning entity. - Employees feel responsible for their own and their fellow workers´ wellbeing at work
- Service personnel who have earlier worked separately commit themselves to genuine dialogue,
functionally meaningful and client-oriented partnership as well as networking which seamlessly
responds to municipal inhabitants´ needs - The objective of the regional future programme, healthy inhabitants, has been recognised as the
joint goal of all the participants.
The project is funded by European Social Fund, State Provincial Office of Western Finland and Pirkanmaa Hospital District.
Tampere University of Applied Sciences is in charge of the project implementation and management.
